America250 a continuing celebration of the events leading to the independence of the New England Colonies from England through the Declaration of Independence and the subsequent formation of the United States and the democracy it remains today. The National celebration has already begun with the events leading up to the Revolutionary War and will culminate on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence July 4, 2026.

The Fairbanks Revolutionary War Patriot Project is anticipated to culminate at the 2024 National Fairbanks Reunion July 11, 2024. We will collect and publish many of our Patriots in different forms of media. All descendant Patriots of Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks are encouraged to be represented, even if they don’t carry the Fairbanks name. As a guideline, but not limiting are the war participation dates April 19, 1775-November 26, 1783. Those honored can be male or female. Patriots do not have to be military. Perhaps they made uniforms, provided food or shelter, paid taxes, held civic positions, took legislative actions, etc. We also welcome Loyalists.

Form Requirements:

1) One Patriot/Loyalist per entry. You may submit more than one entry. If possible submit close relatives at the same time on separate entries, ie: Father, sons, wives or daughters. Brothers that fought together.

2) One page per entry.

3) Your Name, address, email and phone number must be included. If the Patriot has been approved by any affiliation with Revolutionary War Societies such as the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), CAR, SAR or Sons of the Revolution, Please provide the number given your Patriot and the name of the Society that has approved them.

4) Your Patriot/Loyalist Lineage: Start with your name, birth year, and generation (in Roman numeral), your lineage names with (birth-death years) with generation in Roman Numeral. Separate each generation with a comma back to Jonathan Fairbanks (c1597 – 1668) I. If you don’t know some generations put the generation numeral in commas in the proper location. Highlight the  Patriot/Patriots.   Example: Sharmin Fairbanks XII (1952- ), Lloyd J. XI (1921-2005), Lloyd R. X (1895-1984), John Horace IX (1858-1920), Alpheus VIII (1834-1864), Horace VII(1805-1881), Samuel VI (1777-1853), Silas V (1747- 1808), Thomas IV (1708-1791), Jabez III (1670-1758),Jonas II 1624-1775/6), Jonathan Fairbanks I (c1597-1668)

5) Name, birth and death dates and places for Patriot/Loyalist and Spouse/s – Marriage date/s if available and as applicable.

6) Military duty was required of ages 16-60, but some Patriots/Loyalists will not fall in this range. We would like to hear about them also.

7) Description of Patriot/Loyalist activities related to the Revolutionary War from 1774-1783. Include dates and locations, rank/s and details of activities and duties if available. Also include superior officers if known. Resources for the information will be helpful.

8) Share this opportunity with other Fairbanks descendants to submit their Patriot or have an opportunity to receive the bog/newsletters of the Patriots Identified by the Fairbanks Revolutionary War Patriot Project.
